First of all - I LOVE FOOD! I believe we eat with ALL of our senses and they all need to be stimulated. Smell (savory/sweet/salty/pungent) - Sight (colors, richness, etc.) - Taste (balance of the flavors that pull it all together)
How many times have you walked into a home or a restaurant and caught the smell of wonderful?!? You tilt your head up, close your eyes and breathe in through your nose and mouth.
All the sudden your interest is piqued and your stomach is rumbling.
If you are at an eating establishment you begin voraciously scanning the plates as you walk to your table. You then note peoples responses to what is in front of them.
Food should be an experience - NOT just sustenance!
My main reason for starting this blog is to introduce food that creates joy. Food with readily available ingredients. Food that you can turn into meals that make you sit back and sigh with contentment.
If you know me - you know that I have been in the food community for going on 10 years with no complaints. I have catered and provided private meals for a huge number of people.
The second reason I am starting this blog is my husband - Michael Babineax. He has always been my rock. He has supported me in anything I felt was necessary in our lives.
It is my turn to give back to him. Due to his diabetes my husband has lost a leg. The medical expenses are incredible.
