When we found out my husband was diabetic several years ago we turned our house into a ‘processed food free zone’.

Processed foods are generally high in carbs and sugars and non beneficial fillers. I am not even going to start on the chemicals and food additives!

This post is geared to show how easy it is to freeze and not waste your leftovers!

it is also great having nutritional choices on those nights when you don’t have the time (or inclination) to prepare a meal

Here my husband Mike is enjoying pizza and spaghetti. (I did take the time to prepare him a HORSEY salad to round out the meal)

I chose shrimp, pork & veggie stir fry noodles with fried rice.

All are labeled and neatly stack in my freezer.

Mike has a list that we keep on his refrigerator to track what is available. This has come in SO handy during his convalescence after the amputation surgery.

The food tastes fresh and I can rest assured that he is getting a quality home cooked meal no matter WHAT he chooses!!

All you need are microwave and freezer safe containers and some ‘Press and Seal’.

Food stays fresh for months and no more ‘mystery containers in the fridge for you to throw out next week.
